When you are in a collision, we get it, your life changes. You have car issues, doctor appointments and things you want to do that you can't anymore
When you are brought to an abrupt stop from hitting a solid object or a moving car, the car may stop, but your body is projected in the opposing direction. In most cases it is stopped by a seatbelt, a car set, an airbag or God forbid the windshield. None of these are a soft landing and each can result in additional injuries secondary to the impact.
You may be taken to a hospital where you may answer questions about your health and not remember any of it because your head was traumatized leaving you with a concussion. You may just go home not realizing what happened.. Or the typical " I wasn't hurt"as if all the metal could be bent without transferring force into your body.
Often days later you realize what happened or your body adapted to the injury so quickly you never even realized the curvature in your neck has been seriously damaged. Maybe the hospital took some x-rays ad said there was nothing major, gave you some pills and sent you home.
